Hello! My name is May Watkinson (she/her), and I’m a game designer living in Redmond Washington!

I specialize in combat, systems, and narrative design. I have experience working in Unreal Engine, Unity Engine, Trello, Figma, Microsoft Excel, Twine, Inkle, Articy:draft as well as custom engines made by engineers on teams I’ve worked with. I am also versed in programming in C#, as well as using Unreal Engine’s blueprint system.

I graduated DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, Washington in Spring 2025. At DigiPen, I’ve been afforded many opportunities to grow as a designer, as well as work with other designers, and developers from other disciplines, and build a sizeable portfolio of game development experience.

As of right now, I am currently working on personal projects, and polishing work I had the opportunity to start work on while attending DigiPen.

In my personal life, I’m a tournament-level fighting game player specializing in the game Guilty Gear Strive. In my free time when I’m not in training mode or at a tournament, chances are I’m either spending time with my wonderful girlfriend Kiera, out with friends, working through my extensive single-player game backlog, or creating spreadsheets for things that probably don’t need them. (The aforementioned backlog is one of those spreadsheets.)
